Five Little Angels

Five little angels fill up my mind
And how it breaks my heart
To leave them behind.
These five little angels
Were my reason to breathe
Now I "live" for an hour
Then "die" when they leave
Will those five little angels remember my love?
"God give me strength and peace from above"
The first angel was sent
To show me my heart
When I remember that day
I feel the tears start.
The second angel arrived in this world with a smile
And I can still hear her laughter
Every once in a while
The third angel came
With a big heart of gold
And I miss his sweet kindness
But the memories I hold
The fourth little angel
Has the voice of a song
The music I hear
As the time moves along
The fifth little angel
Found the strength inside me
And those baby blue eyes are all that I see.

Those angels were mine
For a moment in time
I see how the time flew by
I want to go back, I know that I can't
So I hang my head and cry
My heart is a bably blue memory
Without a smile or a song
And I sit with myself and wonder
Where did I go wrong
Now I fear the quiet night
I dread each lonely day
I can't go back in time
So all I do is pray...

"Dear God,
Can you fix it?
My heart is full of pain
I know my life is a mess,
And that I have myself to blame.
I know that it is wrong
To give up on my life
Would you please stop the bleeding
When I pull out the knife?
I am begging for forgiveness,
Guilty is my plea
Will you please grant me a miracle
And return my five angels to me!"
