in the Dark, the Beast doth creep
in the Dark, the Beast doth creep
to cause from veins the Blood to seep
ignores the cries, ignores the pleas,
hearing only Vitae, not Humanity
once was Human, but never more,
now only Pain, a festering sore.
all its hopes become Despair
inevitable, after taking the dare
Drink from me, and Forever live!
take from me this Gift I give.
the deal was made, the deed was done
the fall from Grace well begun
one demon’s Curse passed to another
a need to drink from a human brother
and as the Hunger slowly grew
the wretch looked at its loves anew
first was scorning a sweet caress
followed by despite of tenderness
‘till all was left was Hunger and Pain
as it one by one former loves were drained
at the bodies left cold and pale
a last shred of Soul did faintly wail
until the call of crimson rush
did slowly surly see spirit crushed
so remember what will become
should thee ever forsake the sun
what once were thee will be surely dead
leaving an eternal monster in your stead
