Sometimes we're so stupid
Just where does it come from?
We went to school 12 years and more
And we still don't seem to have much common sense
On top of it all - They tell us to live in this world that we call home
That we have to go through the school of hard knocks
Where did you come from?
I think earth is my home
Do your knocks come from a school?
Mine seems to usually come from somebody esle
Is that because I'm too nice and I let them
Or is it just because they are mean and spiteful trying to hurt someone?
When we can't find someone to knock us
Why are we so good at knocking ourselves?
We knock ourselves down
We knock ourselves out
We bruise out own egos
We hurt our own selves
Why do we do this?
Is there a reason to be found?
Why are we so nice to others
But so quick to put us down?
This life isn't only difficult
It sucks most days at best
But yet we're forced to live it through
Unless we're destined to
